  We were homeless and We had to surender our dogs a 1 year pitbull and 3 year old husky.. after a week we found a home to rent and went back to check if they were Available. Come to find out they put our pitbull down after a week and our husky was next in line. At the time of surrender we explained and wrote on the shelters form how they had escaped as a 6month(pitbull) and our husky bit the neighbors small dog (not badly) the neighbors never pressed charges. we just received a warning From animal control about keeping them contained and on a small leash within our yard while going potty for about 11days and they were in holding for 24hrs in their kennel place from us. We also let the shelter know deigo has separation anxiety from lucy(husky) he grew up with and aggressive behavior towards other unfixed males. However, this information was given at the time of surrendering!! They told us they would be adopted quickly and not to worry and that the aggression in deigo would probably go away since they get every animal fixed when adopted out. The shelter gladly took our money and come to find out from the director today that they were never going to be put up for adoption because it's a "liability" if the dog gets adopted and does it again. The dogs were kept in separate areas and They also said deigo(pitbull) was having trouble towards staff members and getting him into his kennel. basically they let the dogs get taken to the back and they decide when to put them down or if a foster program or basically a group home for dogs decide if they want either of them if they have a minor warning on their record. We received No call. No email. Nothing. I understand their legal side of things and how they have to put Safety first but We REALLY wished that information was told to us before we surrendered them. We now go home with only our husky and our deigo whom just turned a year that they are saving in a freezer for us to creamate with ashes received for almost $190 :'(.

  Unfortunately my cat snuck out and was hit by a car. The officer that found her took the time to scan her, found her microchip and returned her to my home. I'm grateful for that kindness and the ability to bury her at home. Courteous and kind, he gave her body to me and said if there was anything they could do-just call. Ill forever remember that kindness on a hellacious morning.

  Ladies at the desk are rude. Seem to hate their job, and they make it miserable and unenjoyable to adopt pets. Which should be a very happy enjoyable experience. Wont go back! PAWS in Pocatello is so much better, if you're looking to adopt, go there first! It will be a much better experience.

  A great experience adopting a kitty they answered all my questions friendly staff too. Will adopt for them again
